Why the roofline matters more than it looks like it should
Fascias and eaves are the least glamorous part of a house and the first place a serious problem announces itself. They carry the gutter, close off the roof cavity, and hold water away from the top of the wall. When a fascia softens or an eave lining fails, the visible damage is usually the second symptom - the first was water tracking somewhere nobody was looking.
South-east Queensland is hard on them: driving summer rain, sustained humidity, and salt air within a few kilometres of the coast.
Repair or replace
